Curd dessert with caramelized apples

Not every curd dessert that is sold in the store can be called healthy. And the taste qualities often leave much to be desired – after all, in order to “correct” the taste of cottage cheese, artificial sweeteners, flavors and other dubious components are added to the dessert. Wouldn’t it be better to make a dessert from cottage cheese at home, using those products whose quality and freshness you are sure of, and with those additives that you like. What’s more, it doesn’t take much time to cook.
Curd dessert with apples will turn out delicious even from low-fat store-bought cottage cheese, but from home-made cottage cheese or cottage cheese bought on the market, it will certainly be tastier. The chocolate layer can be made from melted chocolate, or a thick chocolate sauce (hot chocolate) can be made from cocoa and sugar. For a children’s party, instead of chocolate, add sweet berry jam to the dessert.

Ingredients:

– apples with dense pulp – 3 pcs;
– cottage cheese of any fat content – 300 gr;
– sour cream – 2 tbsp. spoons (maybe a little more);
– sugar – 5-6 tbsp. spoons;
– butter – 1 tbsp. a spoon;
– cocoa powder – 2 teaspoons with a high slide;
– water – 100 ml;
– cinnamon – 0.5 tsp;
– nutmeg – a pinch (optional).

Cooking
Peel apples for cottage cheese dessert, cut into 4 parts. Cut out the middle, cut the flesh into small cubes.
Heat up the oil in a small saucepan. When the oil begins to foam, put the pieces of apples in a saucepan and heat until the apples decrease in size. You can lightly fry them. Then add 2 tbsp. spoons of sugar, ground cinnamon and nutmeg. Keep the apples over medium heat until they begin to caramelize (the sugar should completely dissolve and thicken). Transfer the apples to a plate and set aside.
Put cottage cheese in a tall glass of a blender and add sour cream. Sour cream is needed so that the curd mass has a more uniform consistency, and the curd grains are better kneaded. If the cottage cheese is pasty and very soft, then you need to put a little sour cream; for layered or dry cottage cheese, add 2-3 tbsp sour cream. spoons.
Add to curd 2 tbsp. tablespoons of sugar (more or less – to taste). Sugar can be replaced with liquid honey. Using a blender, whisk the cottage cheese with sour cream to a creamy consistency.
In small cups or bowls (salad bowls) Lay out a layer of caramelized apples.
Spread the curd cream on top, smooth the top. We will remove the future cottage cheese dessert with caramelized apples in the refrigerator so that the layer of cottage cheese becomes dense. Then the top layer of chocolate will not leak down and the layers will not mix.
While the curd is cooling, prepare the chocolate sauce. Take 2 teaspoons of cocoa powder.
Mix with sugar (you will need about 2 tablespoons of sugar).
In small portions pour 100 ml. water, stirring the mass immediately so that lumps do not gather. Put on a small fire and cook until thickened. When the chocolate mass becomes viscous, remove the ladle from the heat and cool the sauce for the curd dessert with caramelized apples.
Spread the cooled sauce on top of the curd cream. We will remove the containers with dessert from cottage cheese and apples in the refrigerator for half an hour.
The cottage cheese dessert with apples and chocolate can be served chilled (this is an option for summer) or taken out of the refrigerator and allowed to stand at room temperature for a while. If you are preparing a dessert for children, instead of a chocolate layer, you can make a layer of jam or sweet berry jam.
And tea can be served with this delicious dessert.
