Oatmeal with yogurt and banana for breakfast

Ingredients:

Yoghurt 200 ml
Oat flakes 5-6 tbsp. a spoon
Banana 1/2 pc.
Jam to taste
Recipe Description:

If your child refuses to eat oatmeal, serve it in a pretty glass. Such an unusual serving option transforms the most ordinary everyday dish, and any little picky eats with pleasure.

I myself eat this porridge almost every morning, sometimes alternating yogurt and bananas with parsley and cheese (a more vitamin-rich option). I use flattened flakes, such as Hercules, I don’t brew them, but only mix them with kefir or, as in this recipe, with yogurt. The flakes swell willingly, in contact with the fermented milk medium, and the porridge turns out to be very tasty.

Cooking steps:

1) We prepare wide glasses according to the number of people for whom breakfast is being prepared. Put a couple of tablespoons of yogurt in the bottom of the glass. I have a natural homemade, cooked in a yogurt maker (cow’s milk + dry sourdough).
2) Pour a couple of tablespoons of dry oatmeal on top of the yogurt. Spread evenly over yogurt.
3) Spread a thin layer of yogurt over the cereal again. So we form thin layers at 3/4 of the height of the glass. Do not fill it completely, leave room for banana and jam.
4) The last layer is banana. We peel the banana and cut it into thin rings on a cutting board, then lay these same rings overlapping on a layer of yogurt. The more bananas you can fit, the tastier your breakfast will be.
5) And the finishing touch – pour any liquid jam on the banana layer. You can take thick jam, but I prefer the option with liquid jam, in this case I have raw sea buckthorn. Oatmeal with yogurt and banana for breakfast is ready! It can be eaten right away. And you can cook this beauty in the evening and put it in the refrigerator and eat it in the morning. Happy breakfast!
