Indonesian Spicy Rice Donuts
For the recipe you will need:
rice – 200g
cashew nuts – 100g
cilantro – 1 bunch
garlic – 2 cloves
ginger (fresh) – 2.5 cm
hot pepper – 2 tsp
soy sauce – 2 tbsp.
granulated sugar – 2 tsp
turmeric – 1 tsp
juice – 1/2 lemon.
To make Indonesian Spicy Rice Donuts:
Prepare the nut breading by chopping the cashew nuts in a food processor until fine crumbs. Pour the nut crumbs onto a flat plate.
In a blender, grind a bunch of cilantro, a piece of peeled ginger, garlic, hot pepper. Transfer the resulting mixture to a separate bowl.
Put boiled rice into the bowl of a food processor and grind to a smooth paste. Add spice mixture, sugar, turmeric, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, juice of half a lemon. Knead the resulting mixture thoroughly.
Wet your hands in cold water and shape the rice dough into small walnut-sized round doughnuts. Bread each donut in nut crumbs.
Deep fry donuts until golden brown. Indonesian spicy donuts are ready.
