Curd Dessert with Strawberries and Oatmeal

Although oatmeal is healthy, you won’t cook it every time for breakfast, and there is no time for some culinary delights in the morning. So it turns out that after a while we return to traditional sandwiches or have a snack on the go. Meanwhile, a delicious, nutritious and healthy breakfast can be prepared in just a few minutes. Let’s make a cottage cheese dessert with strawberries and oatmeal. Especially in summer when fresh berries are plentiful. Oatmeal for this recipe does not need to be boiled or steamed with boiling water. Flakes are added raw. Or fried – if time permits. It turns out surprisingly tasty: when next to cottage cheese, the flakes quickly soften, soak in the sweet curd mass, and taste very much like oatmeal cookies.
This recipe for a healthy breakfast of cottage cheese and oatmeal is very easy to diversify. Instead of strawberries – and its season is short, hurry up to enjoy the excellent taste of berries! – you can add cherries, sweet cherries, raspberries, currants, peaches, apricots, make a fruit and berry mix. And in winter, use frozen berries whole or grind into puree.
Raw (dry) oats are high in fiber, so be sure to drink plenty of fluids.

Ingredients for two servings:
– homemade cottage cheese – 200 gr;
– thick sour cream – 3-4 tbsp. spoons;
– sugar – 3 tbsp. spoons (to taste);
– ванильный сахар – треть чайной spoons;
– fresh strawberries – 0.5-1 cup;
– dry oatmeal – 6-8 tbsp. spoons (3-4 per serving);
– sprigs of mint or chocolate – for decoration.
Cooking

Cottage cheese, well squeezed from whey, not sour, fresh put in a glass of a blender. Add delicious thick sour cream, ideally also homemade. You can replace it with cream – it’s your choice.
Pour sugar, adding it to taste. The curd mass should turn out sweetish, but not cloying.
Beat everything with a blender at high speed, achieving a homogeneous creamy structure of the curd mass. If there is no blender, then knead the cottage cheese with a crush, a fork, pass through a meat grinder, a sieve and mix with sour cream and sugar. The curd base for breakfast is ready.
Pour strawberries with cold water for two to three minutes. Then rinse under clean water, separate the green ponytails. Cut the berries into two or four parts or cut into plates.
At the bottom of a glass, bowl or cup, deep put a layer of curd cream on a salad bowl.
Sprinkle dry oatmeal. We do not crush them, let the layer be loose, lush – so they absorb the curd cream faster. If time allows, then pre-fry the oatmeal in a dry frying pan until a golden hue appears – then the cereal will have a pleasant nutty-caramel flavor. Before pouring the fried flakes into a glass, they need to be cooled.
Spread the next layer of curd cream on the flakes. Sprinkle chopped strawberries or other berries on top. You can pour berry syrup, jam.
Let sit for a few minutes or serve immediately. Just five minutes and a delicious healthy breakfast of cottage cheese, oatmeal and strawberries is ready!
Bon appetit and good mood!
