Is there any benefit to cycling? Benefits of the bike

Are there any benefits to cycling? And, if so, which one? Today we will try to find out with you. I think what a bicycle is and how they ride it, you don’t need to tell, since it’s already the 21st century in the yard. But about the inventor of this environmentally friendly mode of transport, I think it is necessary to mention.
the invention of the bicycle
So, gave life to a bicycle, or rather, his “great-grandfather” – a wooden scooter, the German baron Karl von Dries, this significant event took place in 1814. In 1817, the inventor patented his “brainchild”, and, a few decades later, the “bike” was improved, after which it was put into mass production. Gradually, cycling gained popularity, and soon such riding became one of the sports. Cycling is popular to this day, however, many of us prefer to replace the usual two-wheeled “friend” with an exercise bike that is no less familiar today. The difference here is perhaps in the “purity” of the air.
So what is the benefit of cycling?
1. First of all, this is the fact that this type of transport does not harm the environment.
2. No less important is the benefit to our health. We will talk about this in more detail.
Surely, every schoolchild today knows that cycling is quite an energy-intensive activity. Such physical activity helps to strengthen muscles, including the heart muscle, in addition, improves respiratory processes, which in turn has a beneficial effect on metabolism. And with the right “dosing” of the load, such skating is available to both children (starting from 6 years old) and the elderly.
If the question before you is: “should I buy a bike?”, I will give you convincing reasons in favor of “yes”.
Check at least one item from the following that helps to strengthen the vitality of your body:
Poor ecology, including air pollution from transport exhaust gases;
The frantic rhythm of the city, as a result of nervous overload;
Busy work schedule;
The sedentary work of an “office clerk”, etc.
I think that none of the above is suitable for the phrase “adds vitality”, rather the opposite – all this takes them away, and add more household chores here: children, husband, laundry, cleaning, ironing – just a headache!
That is why it is worth thinking about give a little time to your beloved and, in addition to “physical activity”, enjoy the fresh air in a green park. The modern rhythm of life forces our body to “transform”, today’s man has a huge supply of energy. So let’s spend this energy not to the detriment, but to the benefit of our own health.
1. Let’s start with the benefits of a bicycle for the heart and nervous system. The moment you pedal your bike or exercise bike, the heart muscle begins to contract more intensely, so we “train” the heart muscle, increasing its endurance. The main thing is not to overdo it – start small. Riding a bike is the best way to escape from everyday worries, it has a wonderful effect on your nervous system and helps to relieve nervous tension and stress-like conditions.
2. The use of a bicycle for the respiratory system. When cycling, breathing is more active, a kind of “ventilation” of the lungs occurs, the blood is enriched with oxygen. This, in turn, affects performance and memory, because the brain is saturated with oxygen. In addition, such active breathing reduces the risk of “pulmonary” diseases. This sport is especially useful for smokers. The fact is that with active breathing and, accordingly, aeration of the lungs, they are released from the toxins of the substances contained in tobacco.
3. Benefits of cycling for leg muscles. Believe me or check it out, the best way to tighten and tone the muscles of the buttocks and thighs is a bicycle. For those who are tired of extra pounds – the bike is “shown” as “kvass in the heat.” Make your trips regular and you will notice the difference. Legs and buttocks will be taut. Attention, not inflated, but taut! Another plus in favor of the “bicycle” is the fight against varicose veins. Cycling is extremely beneficial for people suffering from this insidious disease. At the moment when you make rotational movements with your legs, pressing the pedals, the blood circulates much faster through the blood vessels, and this saves you from those very “stagnation nodes”. In addition, cycling, thanks to the same improvement in blood flow, including in the pelvic area, is an excellent prevention from prostate adenoma in men.
4. The benefits of a bicycle for vision. Yes, yes, don’t be surprised. And in this aspect also has its advantages, the fact is that we constantly have to “look” around, focusing our eyes on possible obstacles, and this is a good training for the eye muscles, which in turn greatly reduces the risk of myopia.
Well, what’s convincing? Of course, for all this to “work”, some rules must be followed, for example:
Do not sit down to “peddle” immediately after eating.
Monitor the appearance of pain in the knee joints, distribute the load, or combine driving and rest.
Important! To prevent dehydration, provide your body with enough fluids while skiing, in other words, take a bottle of still mineral water with you.
Watch the “landing”, adjust the steering wheel and seat, for a comfortable ride. Check your brakes!
Before the trip, “warm up” the joints, for example, do a few squats.
