Kefir donuts with cabbage filling

For the recipe you will need:

kefir – 500 ml
wheat flour – 900g
egg – 2 pcs.
vegetable oil – 1/2 tsp
soda – 1/2 tsp
mayonnaise – 2 tbsp.
sugar – 1/2 tsp
salt – 1/2 tsp
For filling:

white cabbage – 1 head (small)
onion – 1 pc.
salt – to taste
vegetable oil (for frying).
To cook Donuts on kefir with cabbage filling, you need:

To prepare the dough in a bowl, mix kefir with soda, add sugar, salt, eggs, mayonnaise and sunflower oil. Stir and gradually, in small portions, add the previously sifted wheat flour. Knead soft elastic dough, roll it into a ball, cover the bowl with dough with cling film and leave for proofing in a warm place for 2 hours.

For the filling, finely chop the white cabbage and lightly mash with your hands. Onion cut into small cubes. In a deep frying pan, simmer cabbage with onions in vegetable oil.

Divide the dough into small pieces. Form each piece into a small cake, in the center of which put a little chilled stuffing. Connect the edges of the dough, forming round donuts.

Heat the oil in a deep bowl and fry the donuts in batches on both sides until golden brown.

Remove the donuts from the oil with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels to remove excess oil. Transfer donuts to a dish and garnish with herbs.
