Recipe English Cream Tea Buns

English muffins are perfect for dessert and snack, you can take them to work and treat friends. To prepare the dough, beat 150 g of soft butter and 150 g of dark sugar in a food processor. Separately, mix 600 g flour with 1 tbsp. l. разрыхлителя и 14- ч. l. salt. Add 200 ml of cream to the egg-butter mixture and, continuing to beat, add most of the flour, 180 ml of milk, 200 g of raisins, and after a while – the remaining flour. The dough is not dense, so try not to overmix it if you want the English butter buns to be airy and tender. Roll out the dough with your hands into a large square and fold it in half twice. It turned out almost puff pastry, from which we cut round or square buns with molds. We bake them on a baking sheet, using oiled baking paper, at a temperature of 190 degrees. After 25 minutes, golden creamy buns are ready – they can be served with tea, coffee or eaten with milk. The leftover dough can be stored in the refrigerator for a day and in the freezer for a week, because your loved ones are likely to ask for a new portion of buns. It’s very tasty!
