In the summer of 2008, Tramadol, as well as its analogues, were recognized as a drug in our country, although for 10 years there was a legal sale of huge quantities and everyone pretended that nothing seemed to be happening. Lively tycoons and pharmacists have made huge fortunes by selling to everyone (no age limit). And all this has acquired the scale of a drug disaster. Teenagers and older youth “threw”; there were many girls who were drug addicts. In the morning, near the pharmacies, whole queues lined up, the number of people who wanted to constantly grew. Tramadol took the availability of purchase, legality, price and strong action. In addition, these people were still afraid to inject, so the “wheels” were just right. Many did not expect that everything is so serious, and this was the beginning of their end.

When the “tramadol plague” could no longer be hidden and everyone understood what was happening, the state banned the sale without prescriptions and declared “tram” a drug.

And thousands of sufferers were left without their “medicine” and they had to look for a replacement in the form of “shirk” and heroin. In other words, they became quality addicts, and some of them, unfortunately, are no longer alive.

Over time, the youth met and became very friendly with other medications that are indicated for the treatment of cough. These are Codterpin and other codeine-containing ones, I will not list them all and advertise them. They are available without a prescription and are taken in large quantities. Codeine-containing tablets belong to the group of opiates and cause the same dependence as an opium solution, and the same abstinence – withdrawal. Often, codterpine and codesan are taken with sleeping pills. This enhances the effect.
Drug addicts say that it really “rushes”, but weakly and not for long – only one and a half to two hours, that is, several times less than Tramadol. In addition, the new “king” has a strong side effect and a difficult “exit”, that is, a hangover, or, as drug addicts say, “leaving”. A swollen, itchy face, severe pain in the stomach, constipation, which are replaced by diarrhea and, of course, a depressed state of mind. Those who are “hooked” – densely absorb 50-70 tablets. There are 10 tablets in a pack, the price is up to 20 UAH per pack in Kyiv. Moreover, if you look closely, empty packages are lying around the city everywhere, especially near pharmacies. They also adapted from these tablets to make a solution for intravenous administration.

What is codeine which so attracts drug addicts. This substance (alkaloid) belongs to the group of opiates. In the milky juice of the hypnotic poppy (Papaver somniferum), it is contained in an amount of 0.3 – 2% and has long been used in medicine as a cough suppressant and pain reliever.

However, not everyone knows that codeine is at the same time a dangerous drug that forms addiction in a fairly short time.

These drugs are often used by addicts to self-medicate withdrawal symptoms. Or as a substitute when there is no way to get a strong drug, according to the principle “well, at least something.” When used, the so-called “codeine arrival” may develop: a feeling of warmth, constriction of the pupils Observed: liveliness, laughter, looseness. An intoxicated person speaks a lot and loudly, constantly moves, cannot sit in one place, cannot concentrate and concentrate attention.

If it is not possible to take the drug, there is a poor general state of health, unreasonable anxiety, melancholy, trembling of the limbs, nausea, vomiting and severe insomnia.

I would especially like to note how terpine hydrate, which is part of these drugs (in large quantities, it is a poison of pure water) and soda lead to diseases of the kidneys, stomach and intestines, up to the development of ulcers of the stomach and intestines and internal bleeding.

This can result in damage to the body’s immune system.

The peak of “withdrawal” comes on the 5-6th day: a painful feeling of dissatisfaction, tension; pain in all muscles, toothache, intestinal disorders (constipation, then diarrhea), runny nose, sneezing, watery eyes.
“Breaking” causes an exacerbation of concomitant and chronic diseases.
After it develops severe codeine depression, depression, inability to work; sweating, occasional chills. All this is combined with a now increased appetite and an irresistible craving for the drug, when in the absence of the drug a person does not feel healthy physically and mentally.

It is no longer possible to get rid of addiction on your own, it is necessary to undergo treatment, with further passage of a rehabilitation program in a center for drug addicts.

Where are the relevant authorities and our state looking? Apparently not where they should be.
A completely legal market for narcotic substances has been created in Ukraine – the state, declaring the fight against drug addiction, in fact, encourages dangerous addiction in every possible way, lobbying the interests of private and state-owned pharmaceutical corporations. If you look closely, it turns out that the scheme is elementary. First, a drug with a harmless name and annotation is thrown into the pharmaceutical system, for example, “cough pills” or “cough syrup”, and inside there is a time bomb. The result is the same as with tramadol, some become hopeless drug addicts, others become successful businessmen, while forgetting the well-known truth: “you can’t build happiness on someone else’s grief.”

After some time, the maximum negative effect of such trade is achieved and it is no longer possible to hide it from society, the drug-drug is outlawed, harassment begins in the media and an exemplary campaign with the search for the perpetrators. Then the drug-narcotic is withdrawn from circulation and banned.

When passions subside a little, a new potion goes on sale under the guise of a harmless medicine.
