Healthy nails at home

The sealing procedure is easy to do at home. Sealing your nails at home will make them stronger and prevent them from peeling. Wax can be used both special and prepared independently. To do this, prepare the following materials:

a set of manicure tools (scissors, wire cutters, nail file, grinding file or buff);
suede buff or polishing nail file with an abrasiveness of at least 1200;
sea salt;
beeswax;
base oil (avocado, wheat germ, jojoba, or almond to choose from);
essential oil (the type depends on the desired result – the fight against fragility, delamination, growth stimulation, etc.);
a brush or spatula for applying the product, dishes for melting oil and wax in a water bath, a container for storing the product.
First, prepare a nourishing composition based on wax for sealing. In a water bath, heat 1 part base oil, add 1/3 part beeswax, mix well. Do not bring the mass to a boil, the ingredients should mix well. Remove the oil and wax from the water bath, and after a couple of minutes, add a couple of drops of essential oil (1 drop of essential oil is taken for 1 tsp of the base). The choice of essential oil depends only on your preferences, you can learn more about the effects of each of the oils in our article “Essential Oils for Nails”. Stir and pour the product into a mold, refrigerate for 15 minutes. After use, the product should be stored only in the refrigerator.

While the product hardens, remove the old coating from the nails, if necessary, make a dry and not cut (!) Manicure, give the desired shape to the nails. Dilute a little sea salt in warm water, immerse your nails in it for 5-10 minutes. Then polish your nails with a soft polishing file, devoting at least two minutes to each and removing all irregularities. If the nails are not too thin, you can polish with crushed sea salt.

Rinse nails with warm water, removing dust, dry. On well-heated nails after polishing, apply wax liberally with a brush or spatula and immediately rub it intensively until you feel warmth. It is best to rub the product with a suede buff, making movements in one direction. After a few seconds, dip your nails under cold water, removing excess product. After the sealing procedure to achieve more therapeutic effect is not recommended to paint nails with varnish, although there is no strict ban on this.
