How to align your spine

With a curvature of the spine, not only the appearance suffers, but also the functioning of the lungs and the cardiovascular system is disrupted. With diagnosed scoliosis of any degree, correction is carried out with the help of massage, physiotherapy exercises, medicines and physiotherapy procedures.

Diagnosis of scoliosis, or curvature of the spine, is carried out using an X-ray study using the Chaklin method. The angle of deviation from the norm allows the doctor to make the correct diagnosis, which consists in determining the degree of scoliosis and disruption of the internal organs. With a curvature of the first degree, the angle of deviation of the spine is from 1 to 10 degrees, with the second degree – 11-25 degrees, with the third – 26-50 degrees and with the fourth – the deviation of the spinal column exceeds 50 degrees.
Timely diagnosis allows you to start the correction in time, which largely determines the outcome of successful treatment. It is most easy to correct scoliosis of the first and second degree at a young age, it is much more difficult to treat the curvature of the spinal column after the completion of the formation of the skeletal system and with a more pronounced form of the disease.

In case of curvature of the spine, you will be prescribed physiotherapy exercises under the supervision of an experienced methodologist, massage, physiotherapy procedures. If the spine hurts, the doctor will prescribe non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, ointments and vitamin therapy aimed at increasing the level of calcium in the body.

At home, to correct the spinal column, you should do 30-40 minutes of daily exercises aimed at strengthening muscles and stretching. Only a trained muscular system will allow you to align the spine as much as possible and avoid more serious deformation.

For the correction of scoliosis, swimming, pulling up on the horizontal bar, all kinds of sports activities that help to strengthen the muscles as much as possible are most suitable.

In addition to systematic sports and in the gym, you must systematically control your posture. Pick up the most comfortable table and chair if you have to spend a long time at work. Every 40 minutes, do some gymnastic exercises, this will help relieve tension from your back and increase blood circulation.

Systematically go through repeated medical examinations, and follow all the doctor’s recommendations, this will help you avoid more serious deformity, which often leads to complete disability.
