Basic Instructions: Assume the Shaolin Pillar Pose. Lower your arms freely along the sides of the body and then gradually raise them through the sides to the chest, joining the palms together; the laogong points (PC 8) of both hands should be in contact with each other; the ends of the fingers are located at shoulder level (danzhong point (RN 17)); the elbows are slightly bent, forming a small circle with the chest, just as a praying boy does.
Concentrate your mind on the laogong points and then move it down to the lower dan tian. Breathing should be even and natural. After performing this pose for 5-10 minutes, the right hand is pushed to the right side of the body, and the left palm is placed in front of the stomach, then the position of the hands is reversed. Repeat movements 9-18 times
