Hawally
Hawalli (Arabic حولي) is the capital of the province (governorate) of Hawalli, one of the 9 districts of the province, part of the Kuwait agglomeration, a major financial center. The 4th most populous district of Kuwait and one of the largest suburbs of Kuwait City. The area is 6.7 km². Population – 205,105 people (2015).
Located in the extreme north of the province, a few kilometers from the capital of the country, 1 km from the coast of the Persian Gulf.
In the period 2010-2015, the population growth was +3.61%/year. A significant number of Palestinians live here.
The city is home to the American School and the New Pakistan International School. Mohammed Al-Hamad Stadium, home of Al-Qadisiya Football Club, is located in Hawally.
