Al-Farvaniya (Arabic حولي‎) is the capital of the province (governorate) of El-Farvaniya, one of the 16 districts of the province, part of the Kuwait agglomeration, a major financial center. The 3rd most populous district of Kuwait and one of the largest suburbs of Kuwait City. The area is 4.69 km². Population – 253,054 people (2015).

Located in the extreme north of the province, a few kilometers from the capital of the country, 5 km from the coast of the Persian Gulf.

In the period 2010-2015, the population growth was +5.46%/year.
