The import of any currencies into the republic is not limited. If you have more than ten thousand basic banknotes in your pocket, you will be required to declare.

The duty will not be required when crossing the border (in the direction of Kiribati) if you have:

Two hundred cigarettes, the same number of grams of tobacco;
One typewriter, one radio receiver (declaration required);
1 camera, 1 video camera;
One binoculars;
Up to one liter of high-grade alcohol and the same amount of wine (only upon reaching twenty-one years);
Perfumes (within the minimum needs, declared); Sports equipment (within the same limits, declared).

Products from Asian countries, as well as those made from domestic animals, cannot be imported into the republic.

Be sure to inspect wooden products, vegetables, fruits, seeds, plants. It is impossible to export protected living creatures and plants, objects made of corals and shells, but these prohibitions, however, are periodically violated without consequences for violators.
