O is a traditional fishing village, specializing in the production of dried fish, and now also in tourism. Here are the Lofoten Dried Fish Museum and the Norwegian Fishing Village Museum. Today, there are about 33 buildings in the village, and we can spend the evening enjoying the unique atmosphere of this charming villages.
DAY 9. Hamarøy and Kjerringøy
Hamarøy is probably best known as the birthplace of Knut Hamsun, the famous writer who won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1920. The island has many small fjords, forests and coastal mountains. There are several nature reserves and small villages. Center named after Knut Hamsun on the ruins of the priest's house in the village of Presteid. The center is located in a beautiful place, surrounded by nature, which remains almost untouched, as it was in the days of Hamsun. From the tower of this center there is an impressive view of the landscapes that inspired the author to write such world-famous books as "Pan", "The Fruits of the Earth" and "Wayfarers".
Later in the day we will continue our exploration of Norway in Kjærringøy, a peninsula with approximately 300 inhabitants. Kjerringøy has an old shopping mall that is a must-see. It is one of Norway's most important architectural monuments from the 18th century. The shopping center consists of 15 ancient buildings collected in a unique location. Here you can fully feel the influence of culture on the lifestyle of ordinary people, see what everyday life was like in the 1800s.
DAY 10. Trena and Lovunn
Trena is one of the smallest municipalities in Norway. It consists of more than 1000 islets and rocks and has about 500 inhabitants. Trena is located in the Arctic Circle, 33 nautical miles off the coast of Sandnessjøen. We arrive in Trena in the morning and, weather permitting, we will disembark.
We will spend the afternoon in Lovunn. Lovunn Island is located southeast of Tren. About 390 people live on the island, and salmon farms are the main occupation. There are also ordinary farms and fishermen, but today most of the valleys, mountains and fields are recreational areas.
DAY 11 Freya
Freya Island is located off the coast of Trendelag, surrounded by more than 5,400 islets and reefs. The landscape on Frøya is hilly mixed with plains. The highest point of the island is only 74 meters. About 4200 people inhabit the islands, most of them on Freya itself, but some of the surrounding islets are inhabited. We will stop at the Sistrand community center where we will be told more about the archipelago and the image of its inhabitants.
Day 12. Åndalsnes
We will spend one day in Åndalsnes, a popular place due to its location, just foothills of the impressive mountains in northwestern Norway. Trolltinden and Rmsdalshorn are the most famous peaks, reaching a height of up to 1800 meters. It is an excellent center for various mountain sports. About 3,000 inhabitants live in the city itself and it is the industrial, commercial and service center of the municipality.
DAY 13. Bergen
We arrive in Bergen in the morning and here our journey ends. You can get to know this wonderful international city with provincial charm, surrounded by seven mountains. Walk along the picturesque streets of the city, visit the most famous places - St. Mary's Church, Bergen Harbor, the famous fish market.

DAY 1 - 2. Longyearbyen and departure
Arrival in Longyearbyen. Overnight in one of our hotels, in the evening - free time.
After breakfast on the day of departure, you will have some time to explore Longyearbyen and the surrounding area. After that you can have lunch at your hotel. Transfer to the pier, boarding.
The journey begins in a small town often referred to as the capital of Svalbard. Here you will find all the comforts of a modern small town in the midst of a fantastic arctic landscape. The history of Longyearbyen is very closely connected with coal mining, and therefore traces of the very first mines are still found everywhere.
Departure of the ship in the afternoon. On the very first evening, you will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the ship, as well as get to know the passengers better. The expedition leader will notify you of the weather forecast and ice conditions for the entire duration of the cruise.
During the voyage, our guides will give short briefings on Svalbard, tell you how to behave on the islands so as not to harm the vulnerable flora and fauna of the archipelago.
During the cruise, we will try to get ashore at some of the most interesting places (it will all depend on weather conditions). Some of our stops are described below. During land excursions, our team of guides will tell you the most interesting stories about life on the islands. Weather permitting, you will be offered to go kayaking, take part in hikes and other activities. Participation in any of the excursions requires good physical fitness and a positive attitude.
Safety always comes first, so the final decision on excursions will be made by the captain of the ship. Below we will list the possible places for our ship to stay, the final route will be discussed during the nightly briefings directly on the ship.
DAY 3 - 4. Nordwest-Svalbard National Park
In the local dialect, the territory is called "Northwest corner". This area, with many islands, fjords and beaches, has a long and interesting history of exploration. In 1596, Wilhelm Barents first discovered Svalbard and gave it this name, which means "sharp mountains".
Kongsfjord.
Kongsfjord or Kings Bay is the largest fjord on the northwest coast of Svalbard. The landscape is quite diverse - from large tundra plains to alpine peaks and glaciers that go straight into the ocean. Ny-Ålesund.

Magdalenfjord.
Magdalenfjord is one of the fjords we plan to visit. Here you can experience all the greatness of the cultural heritage, visit the whaling station of the 16th century, including the cemetery of whalers who suffered during the first "oil adventures"
Glacier of Monaco.
Deep within the gigantic Woodfjord system, in an industry called Lifdefjord, lies the huge, fast-moving Monaco Glacier. In front of this glacier there are always many pieces of ice that fall off as a result of movement.
DAY 5 - 7. Spitsbergen East Reserve and South Svalbard National Park
Two large nature reserves in the east of Svalbard have been created to protect some of the most pristine and rare arctic flora and fauna on earth. The national nature reserve in eastern Svalbard is a scientist's paradise as the area is virtually untouched by humans. The Hinlopen Strait, which separates the main island of Svalbard from the Northeast Land (Nordaustlandet) is teeming with birds, and polar bears live on the islets scattered here. The number of polar bears in this part of the archipelago is much greater than anywhere else. This is a great chance for you to get to know them.

Sorgfjord.
This is the site of the famous battle of the whalers in the late 17th century, where Captain Parry made the first attempts to reach the North Pole by rowboat across the Arctic Ocean.
Alkefieleto.
This impressive cliff is one of the largest of its kind in Svalbard. It is located right on the ocean, and from the ship's deck it offers stunning views. Dolerite blocks break through limestone and dolomite balls, creating towering spiers that rise straight out of the water. These are ideal nesting conditions for various birds, such as the thick-billed murre.
Kapp Lee, Edge.
With an area of ​​approx. At 5,000 km2, Edge is the third largest island in the Svalbard archipelago. On its western shore, the landscape is mostly non-glacial, unlike most other places on the eastern side of Svalbard.
