Khiten (Arabic خيطان‎) is a city in the province (governorate) of Al-Farwaniya, one of the 16 districts of the province, part of the Kuwait agglomeration. 5th most populous district of Kuwait (2nd in the province) and one of the largest suburbs of Kuwait City. The area is 7.03 km². Population – 164,353 people (2015).
Located in the extreme north of the province, a few kilometers from the capital of the country, 7 km from the coast of the Persian Gulf.

In the period 2010-2015, the population growth was +5.39%/year.

The International Airport adjoins the city to the south.
