Sights
Mausoleum of Nasir-ul-Hakka – refers to the XVI century. and is located directly in the city of Amol. It has the shape of a tower and is included in the Cultural Heritage List of Iran. The dome of the mausoleum was once decorated with colorful tiles, which are partially preserved to this day. If you enter the building, you can see a round ceiling, in the center of which there is a hole. According to Maulana Aulia-Alla, this mausoleum arose thanks to the work of Seyyid Ali. A very beautiful forest park of Mirza Kuchek-Khan is located 18 km south of Amol. It has dense forests. In fact, it is one of the largest forest parks in the entire Middle East, and there is only one park in the province of Mazandaran that will be larger than it. The forest park is equipped with everything necessary for tourism: a gazebo, drinking water, tables and benches, a playground, restaurants and cafes, a horse riding platform and even a fireplace. In it, travelers and tourists can find a beautiful spring, admire the Mahan waterfall, wander in dense forests and look with pleasure at stately ancient trees, relax by stopping on forest lawns, from which a beautiful panorama of the surrounding forests opens. In general, of course, Amol attracts visitors not only with its tourist monuments, but also with very high quality air, interesting Caspian coast, which can be looked at for a long time, abundant forests where you can find something interesting, as well as mineral water springs.

As for the architectural and religious monuments, it is necessary to highlight, first of all, the mausoleum of Mir Qavam-ad-Din Marashi, the tomb of St. Ibrahim, the bridge under the unusual name “Twelve Keys”. Tomb of Saint Ibrahim represents the tomb of the great-grandson of the founder of Islam Mohammed. It was built in the 15th century. As for the appearance of this building, it has four corners, it also has a cone, and its brick foundation has eight corners, it is lined with white tiles and decorated with paintings. The mausoleum of Mir Kavam-ad-din Marashi, which laid the foundation of the Marashid dynasty in Mazandaran, is also called the mausoleum “Mir-e Bozorg”. It belongs to the time of the Safavids, that is, it was built later than the mentioned landmark. This mausoleum extends over a large space, has a dome and an arch, its tiled lining draws attention to itself, which, incidentally, is true for a magnificent chest made of wood. In short, the mausoleum is a very popular cultural and historical monument of regional significance. The Mirza Mohammad-Ali Mosque was founded in 1876 by the efforts of Mirza Mohammad-Ali Niyaki. Since then, it has been rebuilt several times. An attentive visitor will definitely notice a wooden tablet above the mihrab, where the date of construction of the mosque is written. Among the new hotels founded in Amol, it is necessary to point out the recently founded – in 2016 – hotel, bearing the name “Olyampik” (lit.: Olympic). It is located five kilometers north of the city limits. The hotel was conceived as part of the North Pardis University Complex and therefore has some sports facilities to keep the students in shape. This three-storey hotel has 29 rooms. Visitors cannot but rejoice at the abundance of greenery around the hotel. The hotel was built in a place from which you can easily reach other large cities of Mazandaran. The hotel has a dining room for 60 people.
