Zuunekharaa (Mong. Zүunkharaa) is an urban-type settlement, the center of the Mandal somon in the Selenge aimag, Mongolia. An important station on the Trans-Mongolian Railway.
The city was built with significant help from the USSR.

Before the reform of the administrative structure of post-socialist Mongolia, Zuunekharaa had the status of a city. Currently, Zuunekharaa maintains the status of an urban settlement (Mong. tosgon, urban-type settlement), keeping the name “city” in tradition. Zuunekharaa is the administrative center of the largest administrative unit of Selenge aimag, Mandal somon (population 24,678), the only somon in Mongolia that is larger than the capital of the corresponding aimag (the capital of Selenge aimag, Sukhe-Bator, population 19,662).
