Tariat

Tariat (Mong. Tariat – Harvest) – somon aimag Arkhangay, Mongolia.
The center of the sum is the village of Khorgo. It is located 166 kilometers from the administrative center of the aimag – the city of Tsetserleg and 633 kilometers from the country’s capital – Ulaanbaatar.
There is a school, a hospital, tourist bases, service facilities.

Geography
In the north of the sum rises the Tarbagatai ridge (3200), in the southeast the valleys of the rivers Terkh, Chuluut stretch. The rivers Terkh, Chuluut, Khunzhil, Suman, Murun and their tributaries flow. There are lakes Terkhiin Tsagaan, Khuduu, Tsagaan and others. Passes Solongot, Khunzhil. There are argali, tarbagans, hares, foxes, wolves.

The climate is sharply continental. The average temperature in January is -24-26°C, in July +12-14°C, the annual rainfall in mountainous places is 400 mm, in river valleys – 300 mm.

There are reserves of iron ore, precious stones, building materials.
