Ingenyu Magras Ocean Shell Museum
The 86-year-old founder of the Ingenue Magras museum has spent his life collecting shells and sand from all over the world. The museum houses approximately 4,000 varieties of seashells, labeled and placed under glass. The collector says that the Ocean Shell Museum is mentioned in a famous book about museums in France. Its shells have been collected in many countries of the world.
The science that studies shells, mainly mollusks, is called conchology. A conchiologist not only studies mollusk shells, but also appreciates them for their aesthetic value.
