Internet

Network technologies in Honduras have been developing at a rapid pace in recent years. There are Internet cafes in the capital and most major cities in the country, and their number is growing rapidly. Some hotels and offices of large companies provide their guests with access points to the network. Rates at most locations range from $2.8 an hour in San Pedro Sula to $12 an hour on the Islas de la Bahia, where, by a strange coincidence, all phone company rates are considered long-distance.

Internet cafes almost throughout the country are also used as communication centers, offering international calls to customers over the VoIP system (tariffs are usually about 70% of Hondutel rates).
