Russians can easily travel to the Dominican Republic: a visa is not required. Instead, a tourist card is required, which can be purchased for $10 at customs or at the embassy in Moscow. The card will give the right to stay in the Dominican Republic for one month. If desired, the Russians will be able to extend the period for another three months. The government of the country is doing everything for a comfortable stay for tourists. All citizens who travel through the state in transit and children under 24 months of age are exempt from the consular fee.

What do you need to visit the country?

You will need a passport with a validity period for the entire visit to the country.
Confirmation that the citizen has a return flight reservation.
A tourist voucher is a tax fee of ten dollars or ten euros, which is levied on all entering citizens. You can buy a voucher at the airport, seaport or via the Internet
Parental consent, signed by a notary, for the trip, if the child travels with one of the parents or accompanied by other persons.
Filling out the migration card

To cross the state border, you will need to fill out a migration card. To speed up the procedure for customs checks at the border, such cards are provided even on the airliner, where flight attendants help in filling them out. You need to make all entries in the cards in Latin, with a dark pen. Such cards are filled in by all travelers, including minors.

Extension of stay in the state

You can increase the time spent in the country by another 3 months. To do this, you need to apply with an application to the Immigration Service. The visa document renewal tax is $22.

For a legal stay in the country for more than 3 months, a visa is required. For this purpose, you need to contact the consulate of the country. You will need photocopies of all pages of the passport, a ticket reservation or confirmation of its purchase, accurate information about weight and height, hair and eye color. A mandatory condition is the deposit of a sum of money in the amount of $150.

Single entry 2-month and multiple entry visas

Foreign citizens can apply for a single entry visa, which allows them to stay in the country for 2 months. Documents for a visa to the Dominican Republic:

A photocopy of the passport, which must be valid for the duration of the trip to the country.

Airline tickets or booking confirmation in English.

For a multiple visa document giving the right to stay in the Dominican Republic for 4 months, the following documents will be additionally required:

Visa application letter with legalized translation in Spanish.
Passport valid for the entire trip.
A multiple-entry visa to the Dominican Republic is issued for six months, of which 4 months the applicant has the right to continuously stay inside the country.

Work Visa

Documents required for obtaining a work visa:

Visa application form completed in Spanish or English. Entries in the questionnaire are made exclusively in block letters.
A work contract, indicating all the information about the terms of work, payment, position. This document must undergo legalization procedures at the Ministry of Labor with a resolution.
Passport with a validity of more than one year and its copy.
Color photographs (2 pcs), one of which is pasted into the application.
A certificate confirming the absence of a criminal record, valid for 30 days.
Letter of request from a visa applicant addressed to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Dominican Republic.
Medical certificate of general health.
The cost of a visa to the Dominican Republic for contract work will be $190. A work visa is issued within 15 days. The legalization period for documents is up to 3 days, the cost is $100.

Officially submitted documents and certificates are subject to mandatory legalization, translation into Spanish. To obtain a work visa, you will need a personal presence at the embassy.

Note: Cash is accepted in US dollars only, no change will be given. Documentation for obtaining an official entry permit should only be submitted in person. In case of refusal to issue a visa, the fee will not be refunded.

student visa

Passport valid for at least the period for which the visa is issued. Photocopy of the passport.
An invitation from an educational institution, indicating the name of the institution, time of study, specialty in Spanish.
Questionnaire, which must be completed in block letters.
Color photographs with a size of 30×40 mm in the amount of 4 pieces.
Written application requesting a student visa, indicating all contact details of the applicant.
Legalized medical certificate of general health.
A letter of guarantee from the parents, guardians or sponsors of the applicant. The document must confirm that all expenses for the maintenance of the applicant are covered by the indicated persons at their own expense. Supporting financial documents from the bank, from work, etc. are attached to the letter.
Legalized certificate of no criminal record. Issued by the country in which the applicant has recently been.
If the training is paid for by third parties: an organization, a state budgetary institution, a letter of guarantee is also attached.
Note: All submitted documents must be translated into Spanish and legalized at the embassy.
