Gagra is an Abkhazian resort town located on the Black Sea coast in the western part of the country near the Russian border. It is the administrative center of the Gagra region. It is 19 km away from Pitsunda and 82 km from Sukhumi.
The history of Gagra, originating in the 1st century BC. e., makes it a popular place for recreation for lovers of excursion tourism.
